Regulations
The CDS mail bot and online
forum are gifts generously provided to
this Clan in order to facilitate the announcement of team activities and
discussion of team tactics among the general membership. Mail bots
and forums are not rights granted to every online
team, and we are fortunate to have its use and the volunteers who maintain
it. The regulations governing mail and forum usage are simple.
Respect and uphold them at all times.
1.1
At no time are there to be any personal attacks posted to the bot or
forum.
This will not be tolerated. Violations of this type will be
subject to immediate disciplinary action as outlined in section 2.1.
1.2
Security is imperative. Do not discuss issues that are
Clan-sensitive in any public forum. Violations will
be subject to immediate disciplinary action as outlined in section
2.1
1.3
Adult vocabulary and content must include a warning stating
such in a conspicuous location in order to give members the option
of deleting it before reading. Violations will be subject to
disciplinary action as outlined in section 2.2.
1.4
Messages directed towards one person shall not appear on the
bot; they will be mailed directly to that person. The roster will
be kept up to date at all times to facilitate doing so. Violations
will be subject to disciplinary action as outlined in section 2.2.
Sanctions
Violations of the above rules
will result in sanctions being imposed by the OathMaster, Mail Bot Administrator,
or Diamond Keshik per the following:
2.1
An infraction that is considered a major offence (sections 1.1 and
1.2) will be subject to immediate disciplinary action. The member
committing the offence will immediately be prevented from posting
messages to the mail bots for a period of 1 week. In addition,
the Diamond Keshik may impose further sanctions based on the infraction.
See the sanctions area for more details.
2.2
An infraction that is considered a minor offence (sections
1.3 and 1.4) will be subject to a warning message posted to the
media
that received the inappropriate post. A member who commits a further
offence within a reasonable time frame will be prevented from posting
to the mail bot for a period of 1 week. Further infractions after this
within a reasonable time frame will be examined by the Diamond Keshik
and sanctions imposed as appropriate. See the sanctions
area for more details.
Protocol
3.1
Any complaints of posting activity are to be directed to the
Keshik. This includes any offence taken to material posted, discussion
of possible unjustified sanctions imposed, or any comments applicable
to the enforcement of bot regulations.
3.2
Should a thread of discussion no longer be appropriate for public
viewing or in violation of the mail bot regulations, the Mail Bot Administrator
or the Diamond Keshik may call for all further posts on that thread
to cease. Any further public posts on that thread will cause
the author to lose posting privileges for three days.
Message
Format
Although there are no regulations
regarding the format of messages sent to the mail bot, the use of plain-text-only
messages, free of HTML or RTF markups, is strongly encouraged out of
courtesy for those with text-only mail readers. Please check your
mail reader's format settings.
