A Bloodname is the highest honor a Clan warrior may earn.  The Bloodnames are the surnames of the original eight hundred warriors who followed Nicholas Kerensky to form the Clans.  Bloodnames may only be earned by successfully passing a Trial of Bloodright, as detailed in the Oathmaster section. Clan Diamond Shark at present has fifteen Blood Houses, including three general, four MechWarrior, five Elemental, and three Aerospace phenomes.  Each Blood House Codex listed below includes vital information pertaining to that Blood House, including the phenome type, Terran Ethnicity, IS Ancestry, the name of the Blood House Leader, any past or present members of that Blood House, any pertinent historical information on other holders of the Blood Name of that Blood House from BattleTech, and finally a listing of the Characteristics that most often are found in members of that Blood House.  Note that unpopulated Blood Houses have no characteristics, as it is up to the leader of that Blood House (once someone claims that position) to write those characteristics.  Prospective Trial of Bloodright applicants are encouraged to look over the codexes of these Blood Houses in deciding which Blood House to Trial for membership in.
